Empire State Singapore

I do love pasta from American dishes with Asian influence. Browsing the menu having wide mouth watering selections like soups, salads, pasta, pizza, ribs, burgers, hotdogs, milkshakes and luscious desserts, that's exactly why I keep coming back at Empire State Restaurant at my favourite outlet at Causeway Point.

My ultimate choice on their menu will be the Empire State Spaghetti Bolognese with Giant Meatballs. Resistance is futile. Even the mafia trembles at this unremorsefully huge serving of spaghetti with loads of bolognese sauce topped with a montrous-sized meatball and garnished with freshly grated parmesan cheese. Only at Empire State! Try out Spaghetti Carbonara with Bacon & Mushroom, with the wonderful combination of sauteed mushroom and bacon, served with garlic cream sauce and freshly grated parmesan cheese. Definitely you can try as well the Spaghetti Alio with Bacon & Mushroom with large portions of bacon, mushrooms, finely chopped garlic, olive oil & chili flakes.

Trattoria Italian Kitchen

I recently had a taste of Italian food from Trattoria Italian Kitchen located at 313 Somerset here in Singapore. Recommended by a friend from F&B line, I was sure then of how authentic & good tasting this restaurant offers. It was a birthday dinner celebration of my friend Israel and we're both craving for pizza, so we skipped from our choices of some popular pizza chains like Pizza Hut or Dominos Pizza to try something special & found out this food haven that's usually crowded during weekends.

Italian cuisine is known for their pizza and pasta so we decided to have Three Meat Pizzeria which includes tomato, cheese, pork sausage, ham & pepperoni. For the special pasta, we ordered the Baked Lasagna with Bolognese & Bechamel which is an oven baked lasagna layered with beef ragu & bechamel sauce. As for the drinks, we had soda water with various flavours to choose from like apple & strawberry soda taste.

The ambience is so laidback and I noticed that everyone just love Italian food. The menu prices are usually budget friendly with quite good customer service to assist and even give you compliment Italian bread. What a great treat!

8 Cuts Burger Blends

Looking for a taste of the best burger in Manila? You gotta try this newly opened 8 Cuts Burger Blends. A newly opened burger joint in SM Megamall is echoing around the metro for having its one of a kind make-your-own burger that surely be a great hie in the coming months. I don't know exactly where's the original outlet but if I'm not mistaken they had it first at UP Town Centre in Katipunan. Just to share with you some words of widow about the 8 Cuts, the name of it was derived from the 8 areas of where the burger patties were coming from . They've got the Chuck, Rib Eye, Short Rib, Sirloin, Brisket, Hanger, Flank & Ox Tail.

They have this Menu part called "The BOSS& the Blends" composed of three sections. First will be the "Choose you Bun" (Sesame, Brioche, Kasier) wherein you can personalise your preferred bun of choice. Second will be "Choose your Toppings" (tomatoes, onions, lettuce, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise) so you can definitely match the content of your burger based on your tastebud requirements. Third will be the "What's your Beef" (House Blend, Beef Bomb, Steak Cut, Big Game & Ox Blend) to highlight the burger patty of your choice just the way you want it. It's all for Php 190.00 but that's not all if you want more. You can also add in Classic Cheese, Swanky Cheese, House made sauce & even more toppings for unlimited options.

It's such a memorable place for me coz I was with my two sisters with me enjoying the 8 Cuts delectable burgers. Th price range of their menu will be in affordable & average prices as you can already have a personalised burger of your choice for only Php 190.00 The staff are also readily available to assist you anytime & the interior is well maintained creating relaxed ambience for food lovers like me. On a salve of 1-10, it's fair enough to give an 8 for a well first experience I had here. A new spot to be recommended for everyone.

FOOD: NOOK House of Pancakes

Are you looking for the best place to spend your valentine day dinner? Well you better check out this place to bring in your date, family even group of friends for a a night of romantic memories, bonding moments & enjoyable stuff to do.

I knew of this place few months back and fell in love with this "Rainbow Pancake" ever since I saw it in Instagram. So I thought why not try it for a pre-valentine dinner with friends (since I'm single LOL!) and luckily it was the World Pancake Day when we decided to be there.

Introducing NOOK DIY House of Pancake, the first DIY Pancake house in Singapore located at 21 Lorong Kilat, Bukit Timah. Their mission is to bring an interactive and fun pancake experience to everyone.

I went with my dear angels Jizelle & Daphne for a dinner. Once we reached the place I immediately fell in love with the ambience & atmosphere of the place. They handed us the menu, took a few glances at the selections & made our final orders.

We totally enjoyed the night of flipping pancakes, cracking some good old time jokes & of course bonding moments that we will truly treasure a lot.

You can see the happiness in my eyes while handling the menu.

FOOD: Plain Vanilla Bakery

Many have been searching for the best cupcake in Singapore. But I found mine through some serious research and net browsing activities. My final verdict? No other than Plain Vanilla.

Plain Vanilla really satisfied my taste bud when it comes to the right blend of flavors and artistic taste. Some of their best flavors I really like are Red Velvet & Salted Caramel.

It just happened that while I'm planning for my birthday dinner, I opted to have cupcakes instead of traditional birthday cakes. Just in the right time as well that I was transferred in Holland Village and there you go, Plain Vanilla was just few blocks away from my workplace.

So here's how my 24th birthday cupcakes look like & some of the must-try flavors in Plain Vanilla.
